how and where do i activate mt quicktime pro

You don't need to activate Quicktime. once installed you can start to use it.
If you need to "Register" a Key to get the Pro Version, you can do that from Preferences.

Note, that you already need to have a Key to enter, as Apple is not selling Pro keys anymore.
